New York City’s art world auctions are expected to bring in $1.4 billion next week, with a rare masterpiece by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt’s expected to bring in $150 million alone. The painting comes from the collection of late cosmetics magnate Leonard Lauder, which also includes works by Picasso, Van Gogh and Matisse. NBC News’ Valerie Castro reports.
